Description

The module introduces the student to the general concepts of the law of unjust enrichment and restitution, and its relationship to the law of obligations, the law of property, and remedies. The module examines the meaning of restitution and the academic and judicial debate surrounding its recognition as a distinct body of law. It analyses the components of an unjust enrichment claim, and it also deals with restitution for wrongs, proprietary claims, and restitutionary remedies.
